{"id":5363,"date":"2016-06-24T10:17:06","date_gmt":"2016-06-24T09:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.goskydive.com\/?p=5363"},"modified":"2016-06-24T10:17:06","modified_gmt":"2016-06-24T09:17:06","slug":"charity-fundraising-jacobs-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goskydive.com\/charity-fundraising-jacobs-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Charity Fundraising &#8211; making a difference."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having the brain disease, ALD didn\u2019t hold Jacob back \u2013 in fact not only did he tandem skydive from 15,000ft \u2013 he smashed his fundraising target of \u00a31500 and instead raised \u00a32000!<br \/>\nJacob combined his 16th birthday celebration jump with fundraising for the Victoria Education Centre for Disabled Children.<\/p>\n<p><p>Jumping with highly experienced tandem skydive instructor Henk Post, Jacob abandoned his wheelchair for a parachute and harness and skydived from 15,000ft,  freefalling at 125mph for a minute over Salisbury plain. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wT6ozLuWYVA\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p> It was an awesome experience for both Jacob and Henk. Henk said \u201cwe had an amazing day, the weather was perfect and we could see for miles. Jacob is an incredible young man and very brave \u2013 I was so happy to be part of his special day\u201d.
